What does it do? The messages are stored both on the server and on your hard drive. All are empty as far as I can tell; there is a number on the right side of the folder Gmail but the folder is empty. These folders were automatically created. I deleted messages in my Junk folder on the mac and it moved it to the Trash folder. Then I deleted it from the Trash folder on my Mac.
