Having a weird issue on mac after restarting it, it possibly did an update during the restart. I'm on Chrome Version This is what I see when not in fullscreen: This is what I see in fullscreen: Notice how in full screen tabs are missing and replaced with the grey bar.
Even the grey bar auto hides itself. I'm having the same problem and unfortunately that described solution didn't fix it for me.

I just have to keep restarting chrome while toggling that flag back and fourth. Luckily I don't close chrome very often.
Same damn random toggling here. As of May , the standard way of opening an application in full-screen mode is not supported by Google Chrome, but you can use a script to start Chrome in full-screen mode every time.
